Rose Ritchie Academy of Irish Dance

About Irish Dancing

Irish Dancing benefits

Irish Dance involves intricate footwork, fascinating rhythms, and music that comes from the heart. But to a dancer, there is so much more! The Rose-Ritchie Academy fosters a love for Irish dancing while building not only a strong body, but strong character in each student.

Competitions and performances encourage Irish dancers to present their skills in many different types of situations. Irish Dancers build self-esteem and self-confidence through mastering new skills and performing in front of audiences. The competitive aspect of Irish Dance teaches the art of good sportsmanship. Solo dancing encourages dancers to challenge themselves, while figure dancing encourages teamwork. The Irish Dance community fosters a family spirit where lifelong friendships are formed. And, of course, Irish dancing gives all ages and levels a great aerobic workout!
